Debra Alvis, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, international presenter, and consultant with over 25 years of brain-based, clinical experience. Dr Alvis is a professor at the University of Georgia, a researcher and author of a number of academic papers on brain-based therapy and advanced mindfulness. Specializing in applying neuroscientific principles to enhance clinical outcomes, Debra’s unique approach integrates the research findings of renowned neuroscientists with therapeutic practices that can build the brain’s capacity to support recovery. Debra’s expertise is in the areas of research on the brain maladaptations that contribute to and sustain specific mental health disorders.
